The word that started everything
My niece was barely a year old when she started saying it. “Tukoy. Tukoy.” Over and over, like a little song only she knew the meaning of.
It was her first word — and it wasn’t a word at all. You won’t find it in any dictionary, in any language. She invented it. And that’s exactly why we kept it.
“Because that’s what childhood is: seeing the world before anyone tells you what to call it.”
Every child is born curious, creative, and completely original — and then, slowly, screens and shortcuts take that away. Tukoy exists to protect that original spark.
We curate toys that make children build, think, imagine and create — with their hands, not with a screen. And because every child deserves that spark, not just the lucky ones, giving is built into everything we do.

Why I started Tukoy

I didn’t set out to build a toy company. I set out to protect a feeling — the wide-open wonder I watched in my niece before the world could tell her what anything was “supposed” to be.
Tukoy is my way of keeping that spark alive: for the children who play with our toys, and for the children who receive them because someone chose to give. Thank you for being part of it.
